Jazz Bar L'Assaig

We have tried a number of times over the years to eat at this restaurant by just turning up on the off chance that we could get a table. This is not recommended as they are very popular and so yesterday we booked and experienced why this place is so popular. First of all the staff, all are very amicable and hard working and really look after you from the moment you enter. Oscar was our main server and he was most helpful. Now the food, the portions are all generous and without exception excellent. The pulpo is the best that I have ever had and is to be recommended, definitely their signature dish. The rabo de tenera croquettes were absolutely superb. Everything we had was excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to all except of course vegans. Visited again with friends on 19th September. The food once again was excellent (Best Calamari ever) and the service was equally as good.

Super delicious food (we had sirloin steaks and burger ajo negro and cheese burger) and very service minded service and waiter.

Have eaten here a few times. Always booked up at the weekends. Friendly staff, good food. Jazz music abundant. Not live music. Seemd to have changed in the past few months. Will come again.

The best place in Alicante to eat the best burger and the best beer. Highly recommended! Always satisfied.

Not a bad bar in itself; the food and drinks are good, the service is decent, and the decoration is eclectic yet has character. however calling this place a "jazz bar" is not accurate, as every time i've been there, they mostly played blues and alternative rock.

When I visited, there was no live music. However, it felt like I was in a big living room where all the people knew each other and just enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was well made with a lot of passion, and the restaurant owner was really eager that we had a good time. Affordable prices, and a must visit for your Alicante weekend.

No os dejéis engañar por el nombre de "Bar" es un auténtico restaurante con una calidad excelente. Hamburguesas con un sabor increíble, plato del día que preparan con mucho criterio y conocimiento del producto. Cervezas de grifo que van cambiando para x tiempo y que te ayudan a conocer otras marcas y variedades. Nos dejamos aconsejar por "el sastre" a la hora de tomar el licor y fue una auténtica delicia. Reserva con antelación, es probable que no tengas mesa disponible.

Bar de tapas y hamburguesas súper recomendable en alicante. El servicio fue super rápido y los camareros son super simpáticos y super amables. Volveremos a probar el resto de la carta. Súper recomendable.
